Dad had been sleeping all day and eventually became unresponsive. He was taken to Orange Coast Hospital shortly after. He tested positive for COVID-19 at the hospital.

Day 3 home from the hospital three weeks later. I was trying to wean dad off the nasal cannula.

Dad lasted 10 days at home (March 24 - April 3) from Orange Coast Hospital and needed to be hospitalized again due to hyperglycemia. The weekly insulin shot we had at home was too weak. His blood glucose level was at 1000, measured at Huntington Beach Hospital.

Dad is finally home today. It was a total of 3.5 months in three different hospitals close to home.

It's day 3 home. Dad's vital signs are good. He's been more alert and can track movements.

Dad's head tilts too much to the right and the neck brace helps to hold it up. Aileen carried dad from his bed to the recliner without having to use the Hoyer lift.

Dad sleeps most of the time even sitting up in the recliner. The forehead strap helps keep his head from tilting forward and to the right. His eye contact is coming back. He's able to pay more attention to movements and sounds.

Dad's upper and lower extremities tense up. His knees and arms are wedged to give him some awareness of sitting.
